Wont replace reading glasses, but helpful
Now that I have had time to use the app a bit, I am happy with it. It will be helpful in a pinch at a restaurant, a store to read a price tag, etc when I dont have or dont want to pull out my reading glasses. I always have my phone with me. I dont always have my glasses.
Great app as a video magnifier for the visually impaired! $ .99 app compared to $400 -700 for
I am a user of video magnifiers for reading text etc.The good: Visor is just as good as any stand-alone magnifier that is currently on the market. The price complaisant is unbelievable, $.99 cents compared to $400. to 700.00 for a stand-alone model. With a smart phone, there is no reason anyone who is visually impaired. Controls are easy to use and very much like the stand-alone version. The bad: Smart phone magnifiers zap your battery power very quickly. Always have a charger handy. It does sometimes take a few seconds to properly focus. You need to beware of the camera location when focusing in your text. . This is super for a backup or when you only want to travel with one device as well.
Very clear, multi-level zoom
This app really helps me a fear deal to decipher what Im looking at. I dont usually use it for lengthy reading (like a book), but to figure out what an item is by zooming in on it with the light on or to read small text on handheld items. Its very clear, easy to use and I really love it.
